We are home with Comet. He has been the PERFECT puppy letting us know when he needed to do his business. He is currently chasing the kids through the house. He is a little whiney which we assume is from missing his brothers and sister. WE LOVE HIM. Thank you. We have taken many pics so will e-mail some soon. Love Comet's Family

Comet is doing fantastic. He is up to date on all vaccinations. Comet will be neutered the first of December. He is eating Science Diet large breed puppy food and weighs about 62 lbs. Comet sleeps is his crate in the house. Comet spends most his time with us either in or out and has lots and may I emphasize "lots" of energy. His favorite game is fetch or chase depending on his mood.

Comet loves all in the family but is definitely my dog. He sits lies down and stays and comes on command. Like all puppies jumps up when he is excited, but we are working on that.
Sincerely Karen

Comet is doing great, but he is a little bored with the cold weather. WE took him with us to California for 3 weeks. We stayed at my father's vineyard where he got to run all he wanted. He loved it. He probably ran several miles a day following us on a 4- wheeler. It was also good for his training, and he was a very good boy. He definitely is a high energy dog, but we love him. Take care. Sincerely, Karen

Comet has been chewing his bed, so he can't have a bed in his crate right now. We walked every say about 1 1/2 miles daily, and he has a large yard to exercise in. Here are the latest photos of Comet at play. Sincerely, Karen

We still love Comet and he is doing really well. He got a new friend for Christmas, her name is Molly. Hope all is well with you. Sincerely, Karen

Thank-you for the wonderful puppy. He is still trying to chase the cats but less so than before. He just wants to play with them so badly but they are a little unsure of his size. We have really started to give him treats to reinforce that chasing cats gets him no treats. The one cat (Jose) likes to play with him through the baby gate since it is safe that way. He does his alley cat and jumps side ways to show him he is hyper. This cat also thinks that whatever we are feeding the dog he should eat so he can grow bigger. He is still as cute as ever even as he grows up and gets a little bit bigger(everyone that sees him says that he is going to be a big dog).

I think that he will be a good dog to run with since that is all he really wants to do when we go for walks. Even when we see other dogs on walks he doesn't bark but he sure wants to meet them. He only barks sometimes when we have to place him in the crate while we are gone.

He is also good with kids. We had a 3 year old and a 10 month old child come and visit and he loved both of them. He tried to lick them every chance he could get. The 3 year old would run with his leash and he would follow her no matter where she went. Of course he was under a lot of supervison but he was fine. Here are a few updated pictures that I thought you might enjoy. Thanks again. Tanya

We are sending several photos of Dono. The first was in Jasper, Alberta, Canada in May, 2005; in Yellowknife, North West Territories, Canada at Christmas time 2005 (above); and at Herald Park (above) near Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada he loves to swim. He has travelled quite a bit and he loves whereever we take him. He is really getting social since we take him to off leash dog parks where he meets other dogs and he can chase a ball with wide large open spaces. He loves to fetch and we are working on him dropping the ball when told to. He loves the game of chase with other dogs. Sometimes we don't let him since he gets over excited and almost out of control so I call him off. Hope that his siblings are doing well as well. We love Dono. He has grown up to be a very good dog. He rarely barks and only a few barks at night maybe once a month and they usually aren't very loud. Talk to you later. Tanya

Nike is awesome. I can't say thank you enough. She is a beautiful cat on the outside and inside. She and PJ get along great, I couldn't be more happy. Her personality is terrific, she is quite an entertainer. She really is a joy. I will send you some pictures this week as I have them at home on my computer. Her ear still has the little dent in it, hence the name Nike cuz it looks like a little swoosh. She and PJ are spoiled rotten as all critters should be. It makes me sad to think that some are not spoiled instead they are abused. Thanks again and happy 2008. Gail

I have attached some pictures of Nike, she is precious and loved and very spoiled. The 1st pic is Nike and PJ sharing a kiss and lick on the climber in my house. They are both very spoiled to be exact. Thank you so much for letting me have Nike she has been a total blessing. PJ and I both love her very much. Have a great day and enjoy the pictures. Gail

Tyson (now Chance-the wonder dog)

Chance is the easiest pet we've ever had - mellow, but playful and very good about following rules. His veterinarian follow-up visit showed that he is overall healthy guy.

He loves his kitty slightly more than she loves him, but they play and get along very well. Chance wasn't too sure about Halloween costumes. But once he figured out those weird creatures occasionally dropped food, Chance got right over being shy. It's hard to believe - but he house trained himself. Chance has never destroyed anything, but we've always been sure that he had plenty of his own toys to chew.

Chance has a new very cushy new bed in front of the heater. When home alone, he is gated in kitchen. Chance still stays in his crate whenever we travel or stay overnight somewhere other than home.

Chance demands daily adventures - hiking, biking, playing soccer and frisbee - and generally helping with everything his humans do. Here's a quick shot of Chance today... Beth and Chris

This is a picture of Cheyenne at five months and boy is she getting big. She is doing fine, she is still a bundle of energy and fun. She gets along with everybody she comes into contact with. I know she was meant to be here, because Cheyenne has filled our home with lots of love and laughs. Both Laine and I would like to thank you, the staff and all the other people for helping us make this happen. Thank You  Mark & Laine

Rowdy

Rowdy loves his new home. He gets along with Cheyenne, our other dog. They run each other ragged. Rowdy and Cheyenne get along great with each other. At Rowdy's vet visit, he was found to be very healthy. Rowdy is very obedient and gentle. He does not bark, and if he does, it is very rare.

Rowdy and Cheyenne are out in the big back yard during the day, and each have their own dog houses. At night, they sleep in the house. Both have their own therapeutic cushion that is good for dogs joints. They run all day in the big back yard and on weekends they are taken out to rural area and ran.

Both of our dogs wear city Licenses and dog tags with our name and address. I will try to download pictures from camera and email them. Kim

Rowdy is doing great. He is a wonderful dog. He is very protective of Cheyenne, she is in the picture with him. We also have another little dog and he keeps him in his place when he gets out of line. Rowdy is a wonderful addition to my family and I'm glad that we choose to adopt him. He loves riding in the truck and going camping so he can go out and run for as long as he wishes, he always comes back to make sure we haven't left. Like I said he is a good all around dog. Attached is a picture when Rowdy was littler and a picture of what he looks like now. He is the border collie. Kim

Cable (now Spur)

Spur is adjusting really well to his new home. He loves to chase the deer out of our yard in the morning. We have one cat that has moved her sleeping area to higher grounds. Spur and the girls are getting along extremely well. He scratches at the collar so we gave him a bath, but it could be just the collar. Spur is an awesome little fella. He even seemed to enjoy his bath this afternoon.

Spur is eating Purina and Iams. He sleeps either in his bed next to his dad's chair or in the garage on his blanket. Spur is on the move from 6:30 in the morning till 10:00 at night. We take him out every hour to let him run. We will be getting another puppy in the Spring to keep Spur company.

No picture as of yet. I was wanting to take a picture of Spur and Pepper together this afternoon but Spur didnt seem to want to go visiting. We think your doing an awesome job!! Lori

I just wanted to send you a few pictures of our Spur. They were taken this morning while doing chores. Spur is a total joy and very much wants to do nothing more than please us (and that he does)! He has learned a few hand commands such as stop and down, take the calves up, go around the calves, down and stay, and roll over- he almost has it down also. VERY VERY smart dog!!! Thank you so much for bringing him to us! Gary, Lori, Alisha and Emilee

All the cats like to play and sleep with Spur. We found out on our trip to Flathead that Spur is very protective of the kids. Lori

Note: On their way home from Flathead Lake, Spur's family stopped to say hello and let us play one more time with Spur. We were very happy to see them all again. It is wonderful to see how he has grown into a confident, well-loved dog. Thanks for the visit!

Spur is normally on a constant move but here he posed for a quick snapshot. He is an everyday joy in our lives. Whether its swimming in the creek with the kids, fixing fence, or riding along in the swather ... the day definetly doesn't start with out our little Spur.

Tina
Thanks for your reply on my search for a small traveling companion for my folks. Its been hard on them loosing there little pom last summer. Spur is doing wonderful! Such a joy! He is slowing down a little andmaturing into a nice boy. He Is not so aggressive with the cattle andfinding out that "Hey they will move without me nipping at their heels". We lost Spurs playmate this summer, and Spur stopped eating. Finally, I brough this bowl into the kitchen and he ate with us and slept with us. He has come around and is back to his old self. Without Spur I don't know how we would have dealt with that loss. Spur is a little God send!! Gary and I finally had a chance to take a vacation from the ranch (It's been 9 years since ourlast.) 5 days in Vegas! Wow!! It was harder leaving Spur than the kids. The look on Spur's face when we left him at the kennel was horrid (I know exactly what Spur was thinking, poor little fella.) I told Gary This will be our last vacation without Spur! Hope the Holidays were good to you. Lori
