| CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: | ||||
| Council President J. W. Eaton called the meeting of the Cut Bank City Council to order at 12:03 PM, Monday, February 11, 2008. The following council members answered roll call: J. W. Eaton, Alice Brotnov, William McCauley and Tom Shock. City Clerk-Treasurer Diana Filban and City Superintendent Jim Suta were also present. Mayor Joni Stewart was absent. All present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. | ||||

| ACT ON ROBERT WINKOWITSCH’S REQUEST FOR ZONING CHANGE: |

| Mr. Winkowitsch requested a zoning change on Block A, Lot 35 of the Vogt Addition from residential to commercial. Mr. Winkowitsch added he would like to construct additional storage units and/or warehouses. Councilperson McCauley moved to grant Mr. Winkowitsch the go ahead to approach the City/County Planning Board with his request to change Block A, Lot 35 of the Vogt Additional from residential to commercial. Councilperson Shock seconded the motion. The motion passed 4-0. | ||||
| APPROVAL OF JANUARY 2008 CLAIMS: |

Council President Eaton asked if the payment to Dick Anderson Construction was the final payment as identified in the list of claims. Clerk-Treasurer Filban answered yes it was the final payment to Dick Anderson Construction. Councilperson Shock moved to approve the January 2008 claims for payment in the amount of $99,175.94. Councilperson McCauley made the second motion which passed unanimously. The approval of the contract with Great West Engineering was the next item on the agenda. The contract had not been made available to the Council for review. Councilperson Brotnov moved to move this item to the February 19, 2008 council meeting which was seconded by Councilperson Shock. The motion passed 4-0. City Superintendent Suta asked if he could review the contract before the next council meeting. |

| CORRESPONDENCE: | ||||
Jim said he had received a letter from Morrison and Maierle Engineering regarding Phase I and II of the Water Improvement Projects for the City of Cut Bank. Morrison and Maierle received the top award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Montana in the Water and Wastewater category for their work on these projects. Council President Eaton asked City Superintendent Suta to formally read the letter at the February 19, 2008 meeting. Councilperson McCauley highlighted some items from the presentation by MMIA at the community meeting held in Shelby last week. |

| There being no further business to come before the council, Councilperson Brotnov moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:25 PM followed by a second from Councilperson Shock. The motion carried 4-0. | ||||
